Endpoint Welcomes Dr. Jessica Durrant, Adding Depth in Anatomic and Digital Pathology

October 2, 2025

Board-certified in veterinary anatomic pathology, Dr. Jessica Durrant strengthens Endpoint’s pathology integration with histopathology, IHC/ISH, multiplex assays, and AI-assisted quantification to support efficacy, biodistribution, and exploratory safety studies.

Jessica Durrant, DVM, DACVP

Endpoint Preclinical is pleased to welcome Jessica R. Durrant, MS, DVM, DACVP, to our Expert Network. Her work aligns study objectives with histology endpoints to deliver clear, decision-ready reports for efficacy, biodistribution, and early phase/non-GLP safety assessments. As Director of Pathology at DTR Labs, Dr. Durrant leads pathology support that bolsters traditional morphologic evaluation with thoughtful and directed quantitative analyses. She oversees slide generation (brightfield and fluorescent) using IHC/ISH and multiplexed methods, and quantification by machine-learning tools. View Jessica’s Profile.

“Jessica adds capacity exactly where many sponsors need it,” says Cole McLarty, CEO of Endpoint Preclinical. “She can step in early to shape tissue endpoints, guide multiplex and image-analysis strategies, and ensure that pathology readouts translate into clear decisions.”

Providing pathology input at the early phases of study design, Jessica consults on model selection, experimental design, tissue lists, collection timing, and endpoint feasibility, to ensure downstream analyses match study goals.

Training and pre-analytical quality also fall within her areas of expertise. Jessica develops and delivers practical training on macroscopic evaluations/necropsy, tissue collection, and preservation techniques across research models, helping teams avoid preventable losses in data quality. That emphasis reflects a larger principle: careful planning and optimized tissue workflows support judicious animal use and more reliable results.

“Today, we are fortunate to have an incredible array of histologic, molecular, and analytical tools at our fingertips,” says Jessica. “My role as a pathologist is to help select assays best suited to answer experimental questions, then integrate and interpret the resulting data to tell a cohesive story, providing efficient and rigorous pathology support for therapeutic development.”

We’re glad to welcome Dr. Jessica Durrant to the Endpoint Preclinical Expert Network. To learn how her pathology leadership and image analysis expertise can support your next preclinical program, contact us today.
