Endpoint Welcomes Richard Schroeder and Launches Two Isolated-Organ Training Programs

October 26, 2026

Endpoint Preclinical is pleased to welcome Richard Schroeder, BS, RVT, LAT to our Expert Network and announce the launch of two new on-site training programs in isolated perfused heart and kidney techniques.

Richard brings more than 40 years of experience in preclinical drug discovery and experimental physiology, with extensive expertise in developing and optimizing isolated-organ models across pharma, biotech, and CRO environments. His work spans cardiovascular and renal physiology, model development, functional assessment, and advanced data interpretation.

Through these new programs, research teams can work directly with Richard to establish isolated-organ capabilities, expand existing applications, and develop the technical and physiological understanding needed to generate reliable functional data.

On-Site Isolated Perfused Heart

Develop expertise in Langendorff and working-heart techniques for cardiac physiology, pharmacology, efficacy, and safety research.

Training includes:

  • Heart preparation and perfusion system configuration
  • Perfusion optimization and functional cardiac assessment
  • Data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation
  • Specialized applications, including electrophysiology, coronary physiology, metabolism, cardiotoxicity, and more

On-Site Isolated Perfused Kidney

Investigate direct renal responses through integrated measurements of vascular, glomerular, tubular, and metabolic function.

Training includes:

  • Kidney preparation and perfusion system optimization
  • Renal hemodynamics, filtration, and clearance
  • Functional renal assessment and data interpretation
  • Specialized applications, including therapeutic evaluation, disease models, renal safety, tissue uptake, and imaging

Bringing Specialized Expertise into the Laboratory

Both programs are delivered on-site and can support laboratories establishing a new isolated-organ capability or refining an existing one. Beyond procedural instruction, Richard brings the experimental physiology and model-development expertise needed to help research teams apply these techniques to their own scientific objectives.
